The 'Walk Around Jerusalem' three-dimensional revolving sculpture was created with a variety of mediums, including encaustic wax.  It  was awarded 'Best of Show' at the 2011 Bellevue Artist 'Silver Palette' show. It also received a 'special recognition' award at the 14th Annual Judeo-Christian International Online Exhibit sponsored by the Upstream People Gallery. My wife, Kathie, and I had the privilege of living, working, and studying in the ancient city of Jerusalem and this piece was inspired by that experience.

About the Images

    These artistic images were created out of my personal experiences of living in and walking the streets of the ancient city of Jerusalem on a daily basis.

    Jerusalem is a multi-faceted city historically, culturally, and spiritually.  Experiences and encounters in this dynamic context was the foundation for this personal perspective. 

    Jerusalem has and continues to be a vibrant center of spiritual and biblical significance that tugs at one's heart. That yearning is the genesis for the "Next Year in Jerusalem" phrase and title of one of the incorporated pieces.
